The breakfast did not have a really huge choice, but it made them up quite well with their onsite chefs who made excellent omelets. They had an excellently equipped gym, which I made use of occasionally. It was great that it was open at all hours.

The staff who welcomed us and who booked us out in the morning were just the most professional, polite and helpful of any hotel reception I have ever stayed . Nothing was too much trouble . The room has everything and an apple Mac. So clean , and the most comfortable bed . Breakfast was everything I needed . I hope we can get a room when we return to Montreal at the end of our holiday. The hotel is nice and modern with good lounge spaces off the lobby which include wine dispensers to easily grab a glass of wine and relax. The room was nice and modern, very clean and a good size. The hotel had chocolates and a welcome note waiting for us in the room when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. We were staying over Christmas and they also left treats for us that day when the room was serviced, which made Christmas even more special. The hotel is in a good location to easily access the lower old town, and is also a short walk up to the higher old town. We had a wonderful time in Quebec City and really enjoyed our stay at Hotel 71.

This hotel is housed in a historic mansion dating from 1880, coupled with a sleek contemporary tower of 90 rooms and suites. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast was excellent and very reasonably priced. Large selection for any appetite. Coffee was nice and strong unlike some hotels!

There was no balcony, but there was one below in the breakfast room that was available. The room was very quiet even though it is adjacent to 2 other rooms. Sunset from the room was spectacular.
