I stay at Hiltons but a visitor was murdered when refusing to give his cell phone on a walk near the Hilton. Left government is allowing gangs to come in from ven and other places. Keep your head up.

Santiago’s historic town center is at 30 min walking or 10 min in public transport. The staff was amazingly nice. When I arrived, I got a long and full explanation of the different neighborhoods around the hostal as well as many personalized recommandations. The room was comfortable and warm. The location is amazing, with the coolest barrios around the corner and the metro steps away. Breakfast is good as well.
