The hotel staff was especially nice. Questions were answered in English (if an English speaker was available) or with the use of a translation app. We could book train reservations and a taxi ride to the Hanging Temple. The directions for using the city bus for the Yungang Grottoes were very good. All in all, I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a several-day stay.

Super friendly and serviceminded host, employees and host family. Beautiful traditional guesthouse in a quiet street inside the walls of the old city. The breakfast was very nice, the backyard was very well decorated and calming. Our taxi driver from the train station called the guesthouse, so the owner came and picked up the luggage into the ancient city. Highly recommended . Thank you. Amazing location, right in the center of ancient town of Pingyao but still very quiet. The room is very beautiful, clean and there is all you need for a comfortable stay. Ji is amazing. I highly recommend a short or longer stay at the Ji Family Courtyard Inn.

This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

Offering Chinese and Western food on site, Pingyao Harmony Hotel features well-decorated guestrooms and simple dormitory rooms for guests. The owners were very hospitable, really enjoyed sitting in various areas of facility. Be sure to have them arrange a car to get you to hotel. Cheap and easy.
