Set in Shenzhen city centre, Hotel Indigo Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town, an IHG Hotel hosts modern rooms with free WiFi and free on-site parking. The hotel is beautifully designed and the pool provides cute inflatables for kids to use. It was hot and you could swim right up to 9pm. The pool also has a partial view of the Eiffel Tower from Windows of the World. The location was perfect - minutes from Happy Valley and Windows of the World and walking distance to Walmart and many food options at your doorstep. The staff were extremely polite and courteous and the rooms were well appointed with big comfortable beds and high quality amenities. The buffet breakfast included with our room had great variety catering to Asian and Western tastes. The kids especially loved all the drinks and yoghurts on offer. If you’re rushed for time they can also wrap things up for you and have a small table for takeaway if you need a little extra snack later.

Ideally located in the commercial centre of Futian District, the Futian Shangri-La Hotel Shenzhen stands at 40 stories, making it one of the city’s landmarks. Amazing staff, helped us with everything we needed. The hotel is truly a 5 star one. I really recommend their buffets, especially the lobster dinner one, because of the excellent value for money.
