Friendly and Hospitable Hosts: The highlight of my stay was definitely the hosts, who were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They were patient, sincere, and always willing to answer any questions I had. As locals with deep knowledge of the area, they offered professional and thoughtful suggestions, from sightseeing to local cuisine, which made my trip even more enjoyable and seamless. This was truly the most pleasant solo trip I've ever had. The hotel provides not only a comfortable place to stay but also a warm, home-like atmosphere that gives a strong sense of belonging. I will definitely come back and visit again! Highly recommended for solo travelers, and it would be great for families or friends too! Excellent Location: The hotel is very close to the ancient town, within walking distance of many attractions, and the area is quiet and convenient. It's also very easy to get around with carhailing apps, making transportation a breeze—ideal for travelers who enjoy exploring freely. Well-Equipped and Cozy Amenities: The hotel has a wonderfully warm and modern decor that truly feels like home. The room is fully equipped with everything you might need, from comfortable bedding to a functional kitchen and spotless bathroom, making it a very convenient place to stay. The manager Mandy took care of us in every detail and made us feel like home with her loving smiles. Mandy made Xilu Xiaoxie inn like coming back home.

My love inn 吾爱堂 is a 23-minute drive from Lijiang Ancient Town. Yulong Snow Mountain takes 35 minutes to reach by car, while Baisha Ancient Town needs 12 minutes to reach. Lijiang Sanyi Airport can be reached in 50 minutes' car ride from the property. From the moment I walked into this place. I felt an immediate sense of peace. The space for breakfast and tea is so serene and beautifully designed — truly zen. The owner is incredibly hospitable, and you can feel the love and care she puts into welcoming her guests. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared with healthy, high-quality ingredients and so much attention to detail. It was surprisingly hard to say goodbye after just a few days. Our room was also lovely, with large windows that opened to stunning mountain and garden views. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay.

Tucked away in the fabled Shangri-La, Courtyard Shangri-la 藏舍小院 is a peaceful setting featuring cosy guestrooms of Tibetan touches. Free WiFi is covered throughout the guesthouse, and free parking space is provided. Mr Lee - the owner of the place had upgraded our booking to another of his property just few doors away from Courtyard Shangri-la. It is a much bigger and newer property - actually everything looked new. Mr Lee had given us a big penthouse with sitting and ensuite downstair and a big area on the upper floor with 2 queen beds, another sitting / TV area, a large writing table, huge bathtub, and another toilet. This room can in fact stay for at least 4 persons comfortably. The property was clean, very comfortable and very quiet. It also feel secure and exclusive. Taxi or Didi can just reach up to the entrance of the property, so it is also very convenient in that sense. Mr Lee has been very kind to offer to pick us up at the train station when we arrived and drop us off when we left with his nice big 4WD. We can also enjoy our coffee at Courtyard Shangri-la in the morning for free. The property is a bit out of the busy area of Dukezong Ancient City but it is better as it is more peaceful with less people. It also has a very nice view to the Big Buddha Temple at Guishan Park in the Ancient Town (from the upper floor) - particularly when the lights are on, fantastic view! Note that this IS NOT about Courtyard Shangri-la but another newer property of the same owner. Thanks to Mr Lee for his hospitality. If I ever return to Shangri-la City, I will certainly contact Mr Lee again.

All guest rooms features a spacious area and rainfall shower. Some units feature a private balcony offering spectacular views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and central lake. The rooms themselves are also heavily inspired by local homes, a warm welcome ensured by the traditional Chinese wooden furniture; colorful hand-woven tribal-style rugs; and tactile textiles and wall-hangings. Jinmao Purelax Lijiang exceeded every aspect of our expectations. The staffs are super polite and helpful, rooms are neat and clean. We can see the Yulong Snowy Mountain right at the balcony and at the buffet hall. The internal landscaping is gorgeous. With trees and flowers of all kinds surrounded, there's a great sized lake where black swans and ducks call it home too. The hotel also keeps a few alpacas, ponies, goats and boarder collies. Our children really enjoyed petting the animals and feeding the swans and fish every morning.

Mengyuanju Boutique Inn provides accommodation set less than 1 km from the centre of Dali and features a garden and a shared lounge. The property has inner courtyard views and is 700 metres from Erhai Gate and 1.2 km from Wuhua Building. The guest house offers mountain views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. We loved our stay! We stayed for 5 nights and it was fantastic! The owner is very friendly. Room was very comfortable and clean. Wifi worked perfectly. Location is unbeatable and very quiet at the same time! Highly recommended!
