Weingut Franz Schäfer está en Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, a 22 km de Monasterio Maria Laach y a 26 km de Sportpark Pennenfeld. Self-catering was required, but this was expected. There were good restaurants in the neighbouring town. Local transport (bus & train) was excellent, making it easy to visit places nearby and even a bit further away without the need for a car (and the attendant parking difficulties). The location was very quiet but ideal for a walking holiday.
