Combining Franconian and Mediterranean design, the Hotel Wohnbar lies in a quiet side street. Each of its rooms and suites has its own style. The Family room was so spacious and nice. The Kids had fun, everyone slept well and the breakfast was really nice. The elevator of course is a highlight! 😂

24 km from Bayreuth Central Station, Pension Haus Wanninger is a recently renovated 4-star guest house in Warmensteinach, providing rooms with free WiFi and pool with a view. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The guest house has private entrance. The breakfast was diverse and generous—eggs, meat, drink of your choice plus juices, breads/jams/honey/Nutella, fresh fruit, sliced meats/cheeses. Hostess was friendly, accommodating; room and bath were spacious. Shower particularly nice. Outside Bayreuth 30 minutes but easy to find and a great value, though cash only.

The Boutique Hotel Villa Katharina can be reached via a staircase from the street and provides two rooms on ground level and six rooms on the upper level in the property, decorated in neutral tones with contemporary furnishings. Highlights include a scenic view of the pool or city, flat-screen TV and a balcony or terrace. * Rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean, with doors leading directly out to an intimate artrium equippet with tables and chairs that the guest were free to use. * Breakfast was very good, with eggs made ready on demand, and with a great variety of all kinds of food one can wish for on a breakfast table. (And staying in a room next to the brekfast room, I must say that waking up to the smell of fresh, warm bread turned out to be a very good experience.) * The hotel is in a few minutes walking distance from central Bamberg, far enough from the centrum to be situated in a quiet neighbourhood, and near enough so that one can reach all tourist attractions in central Bamberg by foot. * Last, but not least: The staff is very, very friendly and helpful, and all of them make a stay in this hotel a very good experience.

This was my favorite hotel so far in Germany. It was so well situated to see all the most amazing sites, so much attention was paid to details like interesting lamps and lighting, snacks were provided free of charge, bottles if water, coffee machine that made delicious coffee and herbal tea. The room was spacious and clean and quiet. Will definitely go back when in Bamberg.
