Located in Cangas del Narcea in Asturias, Parador de Corias is set in an 11th century monastery. It offers an exhibition area including archaeological remains from the original structure. The location is pretty much out of the way - and, frankly, the town of Cangas de Narcea is not especially interesting. However, the Parador is lovely - we liked everything about it - it's what you would expect from a Parador. So, if you want to chill out in beautiful surroundings ( the countryside is spectacular) this is the place to visit and stay in.

One word describes everything from start to finish.... OUTSTANDING.. Our reception was wonderful and staff were understanding, considerate and always helpful. I can safely say that this is the best hotel I have stayed in of all the dozens around the world.

Hotel Valle Las Luiñas is set on the Santiago de Compostela Pilgrimage Route and 2 km from San Pedro de la Rivera Beach. Rooms have a private balcony, flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Lovely place to stay, Pepe & his team were very welcoming. Comfortable beds and delicious fabada for dinner - highly recommend it but it was a massive portion for 2 people, you don’t need anything else! Breakfast was delicious, beds very comfortable & shower hot.

The Hotel La Ercina is located in the beautiful countryside of Intriago, just 7 km from Cangas de Onís. It offers free parking, a bar-café and spacious, elegant rooms. Excellent location and very good value for money. All the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple but filling. This hotel is located in a quiet village and is ideally placed for visiting the Picos de Europa.

Hotel Villadesella is a typical Asturian country house, dating from 1819, set 1.5 km from the town of Ribadesella. It has a restaurant, and an outdoor swimming pool set in large gardens. Everything. The room, the bed, the views, the bath, the pool, my to-go breakfast for my early departure, and the staff! Absolutely incredible top notch service and amenities. I was so pleased to stay there and sad I had to leave.

Situated in the centre of Arenas de Cabrales, near the River Cares, famous for its trout and salmon, this is the ideal base for exploring Picos de Europa National Park. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Location was ideal. Room was very nice and clean. Extra Bonus points for the vegan Breakfast.*****

Situated right in the heart of Avilés' old town, Hotel Palacio de Aviles Affiliated by Melia is a tastefully converted, 17th-century palace. Featuring free Wi-Fi, it is located in Plaza de España. The hotel is just beautiful, it’s a stunning place. Our room was lovely , immaculately clean with extremely comfortable bed and a great pillow selection. The bathroom was great too. The hotel is beautifully furnished everywhere and has gorgeous old features throughout. It has a huge stunning garden at the back too. The staff were very nice and helpful too. It is in a corner of the lovely España plaza which is very nice area indeed, restaurants, bars, shopping etc all there and a short walk to the bus station. We used the buses a lot, there are buses from right outside the airport too. We got the bud to the lovely Salinas beach which is not far away. Also bus to Cudillero which is quaint and a lovely day out . We would so recommend staying here. 👌😊❤️

Located in Oviedo’s historic centre, 150 metres from San Francisco Park, Eurostars Hotel de la Reconquista is set in an 18th-century building declared National Monument. Interesting historical building and extremely warm and helpful staff. Parking garage was super convenient below the rooms (allowing direct access from rooms to parking) and had ample, large spaces. Staff gave us late checkout without hesitation, booked a lunch reservation and helped with exiting the parking. Unusually for Spain, a vigilant porter noticed us pulling up to the entrance, and took our bags directly to the room while we’re checking in. This was my first time staying at a Eurostars and I was impressed with their service and training. Would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

Superb beachside location, very easy to find. On street parking can be a problem during busy times, so I recommend booking a space in their excellent on site underground carpark. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. The beds were super comfy with plenty of pillows. The restaurant was excellent value serving high quality Asturian dishes, with a good selection of wines to suit most tastes and pockets. Breakfast was a buffet self service, but with a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, pastries etc. If I had only one small criticism it would be that no hot option was available, even poached or fried eggs would have been welcome.
