The hosts are incredibly nice and made us feel at home. They work very hard balancing their small coffee shop in the hotel’s lobby, their boutique hotel (and raising their young family). Getting to know them was great. Their breakfast rooms are incredibly clean.

NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - both for check-in and for information both at the hotel and for activities I needed to take care of in Badajoz. The breakfast is fantastic - lots to choose from and very good quality.

Het heeft de prachtige, originele architectuur weten te behouden, waaronder de ruime gangen, bogen en binnenplaatsen.... Beautiful and exceptionally clean. Very historic and grand. Car parking was tight getting on the car elevator, a unique experience. It is best to have a small vehicle in Europe.

Casa Rural Castillo de Cáceres ligt in Cáceres, op 20 km van Kerk San Juan, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Our second stay here at this fabulous Castillo and it won’t be our last (hopefully!). A truly magnificent and atmospheric castle, loaded with history, but also modern day comforts like great heating, hot water and wifi. We splashed out on the Presidential Suite this time and it was definitely worth it. Great views out of the windows, very good shower and a comfortable bed. We were driving from Bilbao to Tarifa and it made the perfect half way stop over. No suppers provided but a grand old kitchen you are welcome to use to cook up your own food. Plus help yourself to breakfast in the morning. Easy, safe parking for our large van. We loved it - 10/10 Thank you
