Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow
With a central Glasgow location, The Pipers’ Tryst Hotel is a unique 4-star restaurant with rooms located at The National Piping Centre - the home of Scottish Bagpiping. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout and as a registered charity, all profits go back into teaching the bagpipes within Scotland and locations worldwide. We stayed in the standard double room and the bed was massive, easily a king sized bed. The room was spacious and clean and staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is only about a 15 minute walk away from the city centre. It's not a huge hotel but that's actually a positive in my opinion, gives it a more personable experience.
Balloch
Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi. Very nice flat, very well eqipped, in a beautifull location.
North West, Glasgow
Within a tree-lined Victorian terrace, this 5-star boutique hotel is located in the fashionable West End, only 30 minutes' drive from Loch Lomond. Its oak-panelled bistro serves fresh, Scottish cuisine and over 300 wines. what a magnificent hotel. every room is different. all have so much character. this old building feels a bit like hogwarts. I am sure some of the stairs moved, and some of the pictures talked. we spend hours roaming around the hotel looking for hidden gems like the reading room and even the gym (not really a gem but it was fun looking for it). breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get but the room and the buffet are beautiful. staff is amazing, funny, smart, nice and professional. I would definitely come back. hopefully soon.

Luxurious but with a sense of relaxation and comfort. Very friendly, helpful staff. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and received a lovely upgrade.
Brilliant stay at The Penny Black! Such a lovely apartment with romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Attention to detail was brilliant and hosts were friendly and helpful when contacted for info and directions. Huge, comfy bed and of course the hot tub stole the show - such a luxury having a private hot tub indoors and not having to leave the apartment at all!
The receptionist was brilliant, after getting misinformation from booking.com about the accommodation and the facilities they supply. They upgraded, us room and we had a brilliant night away in the end. I would highly recommend the hotel. We stayed in the McTaggart suite, which was lovely and the bath was so relaxing, the bed was so comfy and the room was very clean with all you need to relax. Loved the chandelier.
Breakfast was lovely and we also dined in the restaurant for our evening meal. The hotel was quite quiet and had a lovely relaxed vibe. The Spa area was gorgeous and the views across the Clyde river to Dumbarton from the external jacuzzi were amazing.
Absolutely amazing place to spend relaxing time. We got upgraded room which was very comfortable for us. Lovely dinner! We had a chicken breast and a burger. Breakfast was delicious! Freshly cooked and a lovely waitress who looked after us. Spa facilities are great! Jacuzzi, steam room, pool, sauna. Everything you need. Variety of treatments available as well. Thank you!
Breakfast was lovely, staff were the friendliest, room was lovely - we even got an upgrade because of our anniversary
The hotel was modern, clean and rooms were a great size with everything needed and a very comfy bed. But what the stay enjoyable was the very friendly and accommodating staff. Chris checked us in and was chatty and lovely asking about our stay and when I said it was for our 10 year wedding anniversary he gave us a bottle of wine on the house. Lovely guy. The bar tenders in the Chop restaurant were lovely to, so friendly.
Staff were lovely and upgraded us to a suite as it was our anniversary which was amazing and really appreciated
The luxury pod was the perfect size for a couple staying for a night or two. The pub/restaurant was lovely, staff all very friendly too. The local area was stunning and is the jewel in the crown. You must go up Conic Hill while visiting here - it's breathtaking! I actually proposed to my girlfriend on top of Conic Hill on this trip and SHE SAID YES - so overall, Oak Tree Inn has a special place in our hearts.
