Lovely old hotel, comfortable room with great views across the bay, great lounge and outside area to relax, order a drink, or have a meal. Good food, reasonably priced. Friendly service and staff that don't get in your way. Excellent location and a short walk into town.

We love this place, I immediately relax when we arrive. A lovely period property with enough modernisation to meet our needs. We love the stack of games and books left too. A different apartment this time but suited us better even though we missed the view.

We have stayed here before and returned due to liking it so much. An extremely comfortable guesthouse with a lovely owner and staff. They are super friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfasts and the views from the house and garden are stunning. Just the place if you want a relaxing break. A short, scenic walk into town and lovely and quiet at night.

The location, view, decor, and welcome instructions were first class. The hot tub was a lovely bonus for us. It was lovely to relax at night and enjoy the scenery. Two of our friends have booked after seeing out photos and hearing our recommendations. We will definitely be back.

Lovely room where we were upgraded as ours was not ready. Great view of the bay and easy walk to eating places. Lorna was a lovely host and added suggestions for walks and eating places even if we did not make all of them. Overall a delightful stay.

It was absolutely amazing! Sophie and her family were so lovely and thoughtful! It was our first anniversary, and we arrived to find a bottle of wine with a lovely, thoughtful handwritten note. The wee lodge in the garden is just beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful! I will definitely be going back to Bute and to the Ivybank Villa
