Mulu Marriott Resort ligt te midden van de weelderig groene natuur aan de Melinau Paku-rivier in Miri, in de buurt van de grens tussen Maleisië en Brunei. Breakfast is excellent, with a variety of food that I would have never imagined for such a remote location Get your own sim card for the internet and you won't have problems. Otherwise, consider you're in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the peace and the nature rather than worrying about social media :) The whole staff is super, and the shuttle bus to the airport and to the national park is a bit advantage. There is a mini market close to the hotel, but, if you want to have something more to eat than peanuts and chips, go to a supermarket before getting to Mulu

Nestled in the heart of Kota Kinabalu City, Hilton Kota Kinabalu boasts four dining options, a cocktail bar and an outdoor rooftop pool with a bird’s eye view of the city and harbor. A stunning hotel, the pool, gym and sauna are modern and spotless. Our room was upgraded and was spacious and maintained beautifully. We loved the waterfall shower and huge bed. We got room service and didn’t expect much but the vegan burger was hot and so tasty. Just the luxury we needed after climbing Mount Kinabalu!

The Waterfront Hotel Kuching bevindt zich boven het winkelcentrum Plaza Merdeka en biedt moderne kamers met gratis WiFi. Breakfast is absolutely amazing. Best food I've experienced at any hotel in my life. By itself a reason to return. Location cannot be beat. But try to request a room with a view. We stayed three times and the quality of the view varied from incredible, experience-changing view of the river and surroundings to a view of a wall. First 2 night stay we were upgraded for free to a suite and that really made our trip (but next two stays got less and then less good rooms; oh well).

Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu ligt in het hart van Kota Kinabalu en biedt een buitenbad en 4 eetgelegenheden. De accommodatie heeft ruime kamers met uitzicht op de stad of de zee. We had an amazing view on the sunset from our room ! We came for our honeymoon and the staff prepared some details in our room~ The swimming pool was nice to relax after walking outside. Also the hotel is located just in front of the night market which is very convenient. The staff was adorable and comprehensive of our schedule. Lastly the breakfast was AMAZING one of the biggest choice I have seen.
