Fantastic place to stay, the rooms were lovely and very traditional, and having dinner and breakfast included as part of the stay are truly wonderful additions to the experience. The staff is extremely helpful and he speaks English perfectly. Of course, the futon is not as comfortable as a normal bed, but it is about the experience. I would definitely go there again.

Beautiful ryokan-style guesthouse, 15 mins walk from the ferry terminal so slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist area near the terminal. Incredible traditional Japanese breakfast and lovely shared bathroom with huge bath tub! Very close to beautiful white-sand beach!

We were upgraded upon arrival, the room was gorgeous, big, with a Tatami area, a wooden bath and very very stylish. Highlight for me was the view of itsukushima shrine from the room! The onsen in the roof was wonderful! The staff were so kind and friendly, seemed genuinely curious about us. If you come to Miyagima stay here! You won't regret it!

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. It was so close to the ferry and major attractions on the island. The room was so clean and comfortable, perfect for one person.
