Highlight of my trip, I wish we stayed 2 nights not just one. Great hospitality and wonderful facilities. Personally the futon was very comfortable since I prefer harder matress. A 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal, very close to the main attractions.

Offering sea views, Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei is an accommodation set in Onomichi, 70 metres from Senkoji Temple and 700 metres from Onomichi History Museum. With a bar, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. The guest house is located on a hill and has a beautiful view over the city. It is indeed quite steep to get there and you'll be sweating upon arrival, but it is definitely worth it. The staff is extremely helpful and he speaks English perfectly. Of course, the futon is not as comfortable as a normal bed, but it is about the experience. I would definitely go there again.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. The BEST! Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire building. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 15-minute walk away. All the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very tasty . I recommend it all.

We had the half board with multi course traditional Japanese meals. They were amazing but yes, pricey. We wore our traditional Japanese. The hubby used the Osen and said it was fabulous. I didn’t go as I stayed with our 10 year old daughter who didn’t feel comfortable doing it. The staff was helpful and courteous. We left our bags with them on the day of checkout and they brought us to the ferry around 14.30.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. This room was amazing!! We were upgraded upon arrival, the room was gorgeous, big, with a Tatami area, a wooden bath and very very stylish. Highlight for me was the view of itsukushima shrine from the room! The onsen in the roof was wonderful! The staff were so kind and friendly, seemed genuinely curious about us. If you come to Miyagima stay here! You won't regret it!
