From the moment you enter the lobby, you know you’re somewhere grand. The reception from the staff is top notch. The lobby is beautiful with stunning floral displays. The staff are incredibly polite and helpful. Always smiling even when they’re working very hard, and they do a lot of that. Our room, 536, was a corner room with incredible views out two sides.The breakfast buffet, even for a strict vegetarian, was delicious. The lounge on the second floor had completely beverages and snacks, both sweet and savoury, all day long. Excellent bonus. You are also permitted to use their other hotel lounge which is a few minute walk away, on the fifth floor, with stunning 360 degree views.

We stayed for my birthday and it was an incredible experience. The hotel is right on the water. The welcome and check-in was superb - very relaxing and through. The room was large and had full water views. The onsen facilities were amazing, particularly the outdoor onsen right next to the bay. The kaiseki dinner was amazing. So much food and all delicious. So happy we decided to stay here.

It's just about within walking distance of the Yokoyama trail area if you're up for a bit of hiking.

Boasting 2 restaurants, a café and a bar, all with magnificent ocean views, Toba International Hotel is conveniently located just a 4-minute shuttle ride away from Toba Train Station. Free WiFi is available at public areas while free wired internet is available in all guest rooms. Staff was always really friendly and ready to help when needed. Room was very spacious and comfortable, and the sea view was amazing (just a bit bright in the morning). The cafe serves nice coffee and cakes, and we also really enjoyed the pearl hot bath. The hotel also uses mikimoto products in the rooms, which really adds a premium touch. There is also a shuttle bus to and from the train station, which I would recommend using since the hotel is uphill. All in all, would highly recommend if you are visiting Toba.
