Talalla Bay Beach far exceeded my expectations—something I don’t say often. This is the kind of place where shoes are unnecessary, and the beach is just steps away from your room. I was lucky to stay in a top-floor room with an unrivaled view of the bay, falling asleep to the soothing sound of waves each night. The hospitality here is exceptional, radiating the warmth and authenticity of a true Sri Lankan welcome. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff made us feel completely at home. The beach itself is breathtaking—perfect for a scenic run, with sun loungers thoughtfully provided under large umbrellas. While the sea isn’t the best for swimming, it’s still great for a refreshing dip or catching a few waves. Dining here was a highlight. Thomas, the chef, owner, and host, curated an incredible menu that left us impressed, and the service was flawless. Breakfasts were equally outstanding—among the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. This property is a true find, offering incredible value for money and an atmosphere of tranquility and romance—perfect for couples seeking a quiet retreat. Without a doubt, one of our best stays in Sri Lanka!

Orchid Rest se encuentra en Mirissa, a 5 min a pie de Mirissa Beach y a 33 km de Estadio Internacional de Críquet de Galle. I was grateful that not only the workers but also the owner was very kind. If you need anything, they will kindly take care of it. Mirissa Beach is a 10-minute walk away, and there is a supermarket and pharmacy about a 5-minute walk away. There are also many good restaurants within a 15-minute walk. If I come back to Mirissa, I will come here again.

It was so nice waking up and enjoying the views with a yummy breakfast. Short distance from town. Can hire tuk tuk or rent a bike from here.

Tinara River Inn, Weligama se encuentra en Weligama, a 7 min a pie de Playa de Weligama, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, terraza y restaurante. I felt so comfortable and at peace at Tinara. My room (double room with balcony) was spacious, with comfortable bed, a table, fridge, well working a/c and fan, strong wifi and FANTASTIC jungle view from the balcony, I absolutely loved it. Tinara is further from the busy street, so there is no traffic noise. It takes 5-10 mins walk to the beach, depends how fast you go. There are little shops nearby to stock up on water, juices, fruits etc. Babi takes extremely good care of her guests. She makes awesome breakfasts (fresh coconus pankaces, omellete, dhal, toasts with jam, fresh mango smootie... I could not eat it all, the breakfasts were huge). I asked her one evening for rice and curry, and she was kind to make it as well, all for good prices. I would absolutely come back and recommend to my friends. Prior to coming to Tinara I spent two nights on beachfront, the place was not very clean and with many flaws (unfunctional a/c etc.)... coming afterwards to Tinara was SUCH a relief, I felt so greateful for finding such a lovely place. 10/10 in all aspects.
