Heel mooi kleinschalig hotel met een super groot en heel mooi zwembad. Wij hadden voor 1 nacht geboekt en hebben er nog 1 nacht bij geboekt. Goed gelegen om op Safari te gaan maar ook om gewoon te ontspannen op doorreis. Toffe grote bungalows, mooi ingericht, goede badkamer en bedden. Terras met zicht op het zwembad en mooie houten zitmeubelen. Lekker ontbijt en voor avondeten kan er ook gezorgd worden. Verder heel erg vriendelijke hartverwarmende staff! Echt een top adresje. Zoek niet verder. Gewoon boeken hier!

Splendid lake view safari lodge heeft een tuin, een gedeelde lounge, een terras en een restaurant in Udawalawe. The place was beautiful even without the lake with wáter enough to swim. The room was very confortable and had a private balcony with nice views. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. We did the safary tour with the owner and we loved It, he really knows the place, and is very good at spotting small animals like lizards and birds.We saw many elephants, some of them very close! It was fantastic... Highly recomended It!

Het green view safari resort ligt op 8 km van het Nationaal Park Udawalawe en biedt een barbecue en uitzicht op de tuin. Alles beviel ons. Nisala is een fantastische host en het Sri Lankaanse buffet was top! De Safari vonden wij ook echt goed. Kortom een dikke 10 en hadden echt niets aan te merken op ons verblijf!!

We honestly had the most wonderful time staying here! This little hidden paradise was just such a wonderful break away from the hectic traveling we were doing. Hidden away among the winding roads we were able to relax with a cold beer and a host that honestly just went above and beyond whenever he could. We did our safari through Upul and he did not let us down! We went off the beaten track away from the manic elephant search that other safari organizers go on, not only were we able to go on our own adventure but we had our own little safari picnic to top it all off! I could not recommend this accommodation more! If you are looking to support a family-run business and community this is the place to stay!

Waking up to the sound of birds and being surrounded by greenery gave us a peaceful retreat from our busy lives. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with rustic charm. Our family room had everything we needed and more. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond—from arranging a private safari tour with a knowledgeable guide to preparing delicious home-cooked meals using fresh local ingredients. They even took extra care to cater to our kids, making the whole experience family-friendly and stress-free. The resort also helped us book a safari into the national park, which was an absolute highlight. We spotted elephants, buffalo, and numerous bird species—all in their natural habitat. Whether you’re looking to explore wildlife or just relax in a natural, eco-friendly environment, Nature Lovers Family Resort is the perfect choice. We left with hearts full of gratitude and beautiful memories. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone who loves nature and genuine hospitality!

Green Park and Eco Tree House is gelegen in Udawalawe, op 14 km van Nationaal park Udawalawe, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. We had a very nice stay at this tree house. The owners were kind and welcoming, and they prepared good food for us. The house was clean, comfortable, and gave us a real chance to experience nature—we enjoyed watching animals from the balcony. They also organized a well-arranged safari with Janith, which was a great experience. We saw a lot of wildlife. Janith was an excellent driver and guide—he was very skilled at spotting animals and made sure we had the best possible sightings.

Prijs/kwaliteit ons beste verblijf in Sri Lanka. Echt een aanrader op alle vlak. Via hen ook een olifantensafari geboekt: in 1 woord = fantastisch.

Spread across 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Kalu’s Hideaway Udawalawe is a perfect spot for a relaxed family getaway. We had a wonderful stay at Kalus Hideaway Udawalawe. The food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally well-trained, attentive, and friendly. The rooms, while slightly dated, were spacious, functional, and well-equipped. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, especially the butterfly garden, which was a delight to explore. The on-site restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and our excursion to Udawalawe National Park was a highlight of the trip. Overall, a relaxing and memorable experience — highly recommended.
