The location is convenient, and the outdoor pool was a great way to unwind after a long trip — we really enjoyed swimming and resting there. The host was very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Overall, a great stay with excellent value for money. We only wish we had more time to enjoy it!

The room was very confortable and had a private balcony with nice views. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. We did the safary tour with the owner and we loved It, he really knows the place, and is very good at spotting small animals like lizards and birds.We saw many elephants, some of them very close! It was fantastic... Highly recomended It!

Mocht ik mogen en kunnen, ik gaf een 11/10 Hoe die mensen dit voor elkaar krijgen, het is bewonderenswaardig! Prachtige lodges. Super vriendelijke ontvangst. Alles tot in de details verzorgd. Het eten , zowel ontbijt als avondeten, was om duimen en vingers van af te likken! Ik kan het eigenlijk niet omschrijven hoe goed het was, je zal zelf moeten langsgaan!

The place is totally lovey, nicely decorated, well maintained, spacious rooms, the shower is just supercool. The place is at a nice quiet area but close to everything. We had some difficulty on our way and arrived after check-in hours. We managed to call the owner and he was soo helpful, they even put aside a superb dinner even we arrived after the the kitchen was closed. The staff and the manager were also very friendly and helpful. We would certainly will come back to this place when around. Totally recommended. We went on a safari arranged by the hotel, the pricing was good and the cars were in great condition. We went on 3 hours and that was good for us. (tip: ask a car with armholders at the seats - we happened to have one and just realized how comfy it comes at bumpy roads in the park :)) Wish we could stay longer.

We had a very nice stay at this tree house. The owners were kind and welcoming, and they prepared good food for us. The house was clean, comfortable, and gave us a real chance to experience nature—we enjoyed watching animals from the balcony. They also organized a well-arranged safari with Janith, which was a great experience. We saw a lot of wildlife. Janith was an excellent driver and guide—he was very skilled at spotting animals and made sure we had the best possible sightings.

The hotel was our best stay in Sri Lanka. The village was so beautiful, nested inside a real jungle with monkeys, birds and lizards coming to the doors. The area had two swimming pools and a restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly. Our room was really beautiful and the bathroom outside was an interesting experience. It was a great value for money, the stay exceeded my expectations.

Spread across 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Kalu’s Hideaway Udawalawe is a perfect spot for a relaxed family getaway. Beautiful property with amazingly friendly and helpful staff who really go the extra mile to help with unforeseen issues. Great location very close to the Udawalawe NP main entrance. Really enjoyed the buffet dinner and breakfast.
