The hotel had a lot of charm and had all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable and easy stay. The food was delicious and we loved the all inclusive system in the very cool restaurant setting where we felt like we were inside a boat. What is not to love about this hotel? I think they have really thought about what customers like. We only stayed one night but hope to come back.

Rooms at Hotel Klubben have tea and coffee facilities, a large work desk and a private bathroom with shower. In addition, some feature a balcony with views of the Tønsberg Canal. Everything about this place was excellent. It is in a great location, easy walking to everything in town. Be sure to check out the Whaling Museum (Slottsfjellsmuseet), just a few blocks away, with its many enormous whale skeletons and other exhibits on the history of the region. The hotel room was good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific with a large variety of offerings. The hotel has an on-site underground garage for self parking. While the parking fee was expensive ( NOK 420 per night), it was extremely convenient. (It also looked like there were some other public lots across the street and in the neighborhood that may be less pricey, especially for longer stays) Overall we had a great stay and recommend the Hotel Klubben as an excellent choice in Tønsberg.

Tønsberg train station is 800 metres away. Immaculate. The room was neatly organized, and the controls for room lights and bathroom water were intuitive. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. There’s a built in clothes line too. TV easy with music options. The window opens just enough to get a breath of fresh air, even though the room temperature was perfect. The staff was cheerful, efficient, quiet, cooperative, helpful, and pleasant. The lobby is a good place to sit with coffee/tea ready to make any time. The breakfast buffet—oh my! There is such a variety of, plenty of it, and all delicious. All the guests served ourselves quietly and the place was spotless. Hot food was hot, cold food cold.
