Tudor Motel is within a 10-minute drive of both Hawera Golf Club and Te Ngutu Golf Club. New Plymouth and Mount Taranaki are a 50-minute drive away. The motel is a 1-hour drive from Wanganui. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The location was quiet and the owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a small issue with one of our motorcycles and Mr Diederik lent us some tools to fix it (it worked!)

Guests can make use of a bar. Greeted on arrival. Staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Mountain view from rear window of room. Quiet location. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was nice with a spa bath. Bed and pillows were really comfy. Restaurant food was lovely and good value for money.

All suites and apartments feature a private bathroom and a kitchenette with toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. Some have a flat-screen TV, while others have a luxury spa bath. It was amazing. Because we were arriving late, the receptionist call us to explain how to get the key during the night. The room was comfortable and big enough for two. The kitchen has all the things necessaries. Very clean. We will go back.

The hosts couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating, from providing help with food, suggestions for what to see, laundry, etc. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. The location was perfect, just a short walk to downtown New Plymouth with restaurants, museums and the coastal walkway and an easy drive to Mt. Taranaki and hiking trails. All in all, a wonderful way to start our visit to New Zealand.
