The cottage is incredibly clean and neat and equipped with everything you need. Helen and Clint are kind and welcoming guests, and we greatly enjoyed the dinner prepared by the chef (assisted by his lovely wife) where we mingled with other guests and had a very nice evening. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking an authentic stay. The gardens are just beautiful and the whole place is peaceful and serene.

Guests enjoy free WiFi, free breakfast and a range of facilities including a spa and wellness centre. From what I saw on the booking site I wad very confident that I would like the property. That turned out to be an understatement it was excellent. The accommodation was large in a beautiful location that overlooked the Kaiteriteri beach. That there was a swimming pool (indoor and out), hot tubs and the breakfast was excellent was icing on the cake. I highly recommend in fact youd be mad to stay anywhere else.

The small town was a quick walk down the road to the local hotel, Four Square and small shops. It was only a few minutes away from the Buller Gorge Adventure Park

Highly recommended for tourist who wants to explore Farewell Spits and Wharariki Beach for its perfect location.

Lisa, at reception was awesome & brought us a portable gas weber bbq to prepare our dinner. We liked everything about this motel, free washing machine for guests + it was very convenient & close to Takaka center. We'll definitely stay here again.

The Station House Motel is located in the charming village of Collingwood, Golden Bay NZ. It was built in 1907 and was originally the Police Station. It offers two Studio Rooms with En Suite within the Historical House and two Self Contained Cottages. This great little cottage had everything we needed. There was also 2 beautiful outdoor spaces with lovely gardens. Very quick walk to town and beach with grassy dunes. One of the cleanest and best stocked accommodations we’ve stayed in in New Zealand.
