Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. It provides free Wi-Fi, a café in a conservatory, a restaurant and free use of bicycles. A magical place. A direct view of the sea, with ships passing literally right next to you. Very friendly and courteous staff, delicious food, and spotlessly clean rooms. Whatever I write, it still won’t be enough to capture how special this place truly is. I can’t wait to come back here — and stay longer next time.

The tastefully decorated rooms feature tea/coffee facilities, a seating area and private entrance. All rooms have a private bathroom, including a hairdryer. Breakfast was delicious, the room was beautifully decorated, the bed was soooo soft and comfortable and the bathroom very modern and new! The reception staff were incredibly friendly. My husband and I had a blast playing 'fotballgolf', LOVED this so much!

This self-serviced property has several shared terrace areas, and the town’s restaurants and shops are within a 5-minute walk. Very nice host, we got upgraded to an apartment because the hostel was in renovation. Very close to everything, new furniture, wifi working well, nothing to complain about :)

It features rooms in traditional red cottages and an on-site restaurant with sea views. I’m a retired Canadian at Grinda with my older brother after earlier stays in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Grinda was the favorite part of our entire month long trip amd we hope to be back. Loved the ferry ride from Stockholm to Grinda, Grinda’s natural setting, our comfortable room, the walking trails around the island, open water swimming, the multiple restaurants and food services, the breakfast buffet, sitting out on the deck in the evening with a fresh breeze blowing in off the Baltic. The overall vibe was magnificent and the exact counterpoint we sought after crowds in more touristy areas. The staff at Grinda were fantastic, especially Thea on the front desk…so friendly, cheerful, welcoming, and helpful in addressing our many questions. She went above and beyond on all our interactions with her and will leave us with lasting happy memories.

Good choice for breakfast, even bubbles included.
