We were struck by the genuine warmth and courtesy of the staff, a welcome reminder of old-fashioned hospitality that is harder to come by back home nowadays! Breakfast and dinner spreads were impressive, fresh, and clean. Staying in a part of Japan that retained its authentic character, free from the usual tourist crowds, made the experience all the more special.

We had some dietary restrictions but the staff went above and beyond for us to accommodate this. We received very delicious meals for breakfast and dinner. The facilities of the hotel were maintained well and were easy to use. We had two queen size beds and a big room for us which felt like a luxury. Location of the hotel for our trip through the Kiso valley was also perfect. It was quiet all around the hotel and the onsen was the perfect temperature- great for relaxation after busy days in Tokyo.

Hotel room was spacious and clean, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel manager Yugo is always so patient even though we ask lots of questions. We were shuttled back and forth Kiso Fukushima station at the arranged time by different staff each day. Breakfast set was so sumptuous for the 3 days we were there (more like dinner set to us). There is public bath facilities within the hotel and a forest nearby to explore and we took lots of beautiful pictures as well.

The rooms were large, and the futons were very comfortable. The shared facilities were nice and clean. The onsen was perfect after a full day out walking. The food was the highlight of the trip. Breakfast and dinner included, and they were unreal. It was perfectec delicious and abundant. We felt like in a family.
