Really great place to stay, well worth the money and full of lovely touches like the video games, barley tea, coffee milk etc. The private baths are excellent as well, and the staff were really nice and kind as well.

The place was fabulous. The room was beautiful, with an outside bath. The food (dinner and breakfast) was exceptional and homemade. The staff was so nice! We had the whole place to ourselves; it was perfect. We tried the meditation experience and received a tour of the temple. It was a truly unique experience. Everything was perfect. It was the last night of our trip; we could not have hoped for anything better. Thank you so much! We wished we had stayed longer.

Absolutely beautiful ryokan with stunning views of the river. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, simple, and comfortable, and our private onsen was a highlight! The multi-course dinner and breakfast service were absolutely fantastic as well. We took advantage of the free shuttle service to and from Minakami Station, which was also easy to navigate. This was the perfect quiet and relaxing escape during our honeymoon!

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen.
