Beautiful Ryokan in the mountains, away from the crowded center of Yufuin but still just few minutes walking from there. We booked the annex accommodation with private onsen, the room was amazing and just 30 sec from main building for even more intimacy. The staff is super kind and full of attention for us, they delivered my luggage to my room once it has been delivered and they were always helpful with anything and always smiling. They even offered to take a picture of us at the check out before we left on their beautiful terrace. The restaurant where we have the breakfast is small so you can enjoy quietly your delicious traditional Japanese breakfast, we had 2 different breakfast for for 2 days we stayed. And aln of it just in front of the wonderful view of Yufu mountain.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Onsen is great! Dinner and breakfast are great! Friendly staff!

Ons eigen onsen , alles compleet en goed voorziende ligging was ook ok. Wij lagen in de dependance 50m verderop. Dus van het hoofdgebouw kan ik niks melden

I recently stayed at this onsen resort in Yufuin and it was hands down the best onsen experience I've ever had! The rooms were incredibly spacious, equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a microwave and all cooking essentials. The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!
