The meals were delicious - again some of my best on my entire trip. They were very generous in sharing information about their religion and culture, and inviting tourists to participate in activities that helped us to better understand the life and routine at Ekoin. I appreciated the booklet in the room that explained how to navigate different things (e.g. the meditation, the morning service) so that I better understood. It was a special experience and was grateful for the opportunity to visit here.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara features outdoor and indoor hot spring baths, only a 2-minute walk from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property, a terrace and rooms with a Japanese interior and Western beds. Excellent staff with amazing service. They were super helpful! The room is well decorated, although a bit aged, with nice view, and the onsen was a plus. The food was great as well! It was a great experience, wish we could come back again.
