Self Catering Accommodation in Guilin

我也向去桂林的中国人推荐这家酒店! Normally I don't do extensive reviews, I limit myself to saying whether or not it is what they offer, but I think this accommodation deserves it. If you want to stay in a beautiful place, and with special attention, this is your hotel. Although it is not in the tourist center, the Didi (Chinese Uber) service is easy and around10 minutes away from moon and sun pagodas, with a cost of aprox 15 yuan (2€). The place is VERY beautiful, quiet and it is also within walking distance of one of the typical visits, the Reed Flute Cave, just 15/20 minutes along a hiking trail next to the river. The area is beautiful to walk and has its own restaurants. The bed was super comfortable, and in my case I appreciated that tranquility and relaxed aesthetic, since China is very stimulating throughout the day. But what I liked most was the attention of the owner, super friendly and helpful. The stay included transfer from the north station by taxi, breakfast offering us if we preferred the traditional noodles of the area or coffee, toast, yogurt... He offered us fruit upon arrival, and to leave he prepared us fruit, water and even a gift. It's seems that it is a family business and I hope it prospers and does very well.

Taking this hotel, you need to be aware that it is a bit far from Guilin's attractions ( to the nearest bus station you need to walk about 10 minutes), but it is located in a very local part of the city where live local people. It offers a real atmosphere - in the neighbourhood you can find small local shops, restaurants, fresh fruit stands where local people do shopping or eat. The apartment is located on the 6th floor - thanks to a huge panoramic window, you can admire an amazing view over Guilin and mountains. If you are lucky enough, you can see a beautiful sunset. The room is spacious, nicely arranged and decorated, with a big and comfortable bad. Wi-fi is good. The room is supplied with fresh towels and water every day. There is free self-service laundry and a big common roof terrace.
