This beautiful accommodation is very spacious, well equipped for cooking and close to the main road while also right next to nature. Our hostess, Maria, took great care of us and even offered a cheap ride to the national park, which is worth a visit. While we only understand a few bits of Spanish, communication with her was easy and joyful!

Hello, we are a family of 4, Farnsisco the host is a great guy who made us feel at home from the first minute. The place is just incredible, amazing views, great location, close to town but on nature. The apartment has everything we needed and it's very well equipped. Hilghy recommends!! Everything was perfect, the apartment is fully equipped , there is a washing machine which help a lot when traveling for several days. TV bedroom has Netflix included. The owners leave on the property near by and was very helpful and very friendly! You can park the car in front of the apartment and there is a gate that close every night. Safe area and safe property. Beautiful view from the bedroom. Highly recommend if you visit rio Celeste, that is near by! Near the apartment on the Main Street you can find several stores/ restaurants and supermarket.

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay with Lusbeth, Alfredo, and family in the rustic cabins surrounded by their beautiful gardens. A generous, delicious, homemade breakfast was included. There was even home made passionfruit jam and fresh juice from their own fruits. There were many colourful birds, including toucans. They gave us a free night tour of their garden to see the frogs and other critters. They helped us organize activities and were genuinely kind. Our cabin was clean and comfortable with enough beds for 5 people. The kitchenette was a welcome addition so we could cook our own meals. I recommend supporting this local family by staying with them when you visit the Bijagua area and Volcanoes Tenorio and Miravalles. We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay with Elliot and Mark. The hosts are so helpful and we’ve got many information of the nature, culture and history of Costa Rica. The spacious and well equipped accommodation is located in a beautiful place. If we get the chance to come back one day we will definitely stay there again.

The location was perfect for me because I was backpacking on foot, the place is only 5-10 minutes walk from the highway bus stop. There is also a protected forest reserve right beside the property so I was able to see sloths, monkeys, toucans, butterflies, etc

We enjoyed a lot our stay in this chalet, we were delighted of the amount of birds that were on site and the views all around. It’s a very private space and super peaceful, but it is still very close to places we wanted to discover and useful shops or services. I recommend it a lot ! Thank you guys

Beautiful chalet, secluded enough to see monkeys and beautiful birds but close enough to town and to Parque Volcan Tenorio to make it convenient. Hosts were very kind and clearly willing to work on any single detail to make the stay enjoyable (a bottle of rose as a gift upon arrival, games for kids, a full well equipped kitchen... nothing was missing). I highly recommend the place.

Lovely Homestay feel to this hostel! The breakfast in the morning was huge and so yummy! The family were great: helping us with our buses and recommending the best ethical place to see sloths (sloths and frogs on Google maps is amazing). Their shower had hot water which was an absolute luxury. The kitchen was well equipped and super clean too. Cannot recommend enough!

Large balcony view is beautiful! Kitchen equipment in nice condition with large refrigerator. Nice large bathroom with great shower space. Owner very kind and responsive. Short drive to Tenorio, 10 min. Short drive into Bijagua, 5 min. Good restaurants nearby, Blue River Brewery and El Sabor de Dona Carmen. Probably others good too!

From the moment we arrived, and were greeted by the whole family; our stay was a highlight of the trip. We were treated with such care and attention and felt it was very personal to us. The little cottage we stayed in was in the garden…beautifully private and quiet. We loved hearing the birds in the bushes and trees next to the terrace. The cottage was spotlessly clean and kitchen, although small, very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and although no air con…the fan worked very well.

Excellent location in a beautiful garden. The owners are such a nice people. They ofered us a free night walk in the garden to see night animals. Garden with all trees and flowers is magical. The apartment is cosy with a small kitchen. Breakfast is delicious. We hihgly recommend Jardin entre Montañas.

One of the most friendly hostel stuff we've ever met. They helped us organizing our trips and gave some more advices what to do around Bijagua. Furthemore, they prepared us a very large and delicious breakfast every morning. There was lots of space in the dorm room to store our luggage. The kitchen was well-equipped.
