The room was big and the bed very comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Steve's place; meeting him significantly enhanced my experience in Zhangjiajie.

The units will provide guests with a desk and a kettle. Absolutely brilliant stay! The FengHuang Kasen Waterloom Keep's grounds are lovely and breakfast was fantastic. The real standout was their service: arranged a hotel car to collect us from the station and provided dedicated transfers to the local sights. Staff called right after booking to organise our travel and even helped plan our itinerary - extremely professional and helpful. Proper job, highly recommend!

Fantastic Stay Near the Airport & Tianmen Mountain!​​ We stayed at this lovely, cozy B&B near Hehua Airport, and it was such a pleasant experience! The location is super convenient—just a short drive to the airport and very close to Tianmen Mountain. The hostess was amazing, and the homemade meals she prepared were absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Lucas, one of the staff members, who was incredibly helpful and gave us great travel tips. He went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. The property offers city views. We had a fantastic stay in Heaven Gate Homestay! The location is absolutely perfect — surrounded by local food stalls, supermarkets, and just a short distance from the stunning Tianmen Mountain. Everything was incredibly convenient. A special thank you to our host, Carol, who was truly amazing. She was warm, responsive, and always ready to help — from recommending delicious local food to helping us place orders and explaining everything we needed to know during our stay. Her hospitality made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie!

All units will provide guests with a desk and a coffee machine. If I could give an 11/10 for the staff I would. I was very confused as to how to get from Zhangjiajie West train station to the hotel. Two staff members came to pick me up. They also arranged an early check in, and helped me book a taxi to Wulingyuan and another one back to the station the next day. The room was beautiful and clean and the hotel was just a 20 minute drive away from Wulingyuan which is a cheap taxi trip.

Xi Valley Apartment was an absolute gem for our family of three + Nan! The place is huge – two full bathrooms and loads of living space make it perfect for families or a small group that doesn’t want to feel cramped. We stayed six nights and really appreciated how well-equipped it is: powerful A/C in every room, a big fridge-freezer, washing machine, and a proper set of kitchen utensils, so cooking at “home” when we wanted to was a breeze. The Location hit the sweet spot for us. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood about 2 km from the centre of town: just a relaxed 30-minute walk, or a ¥5–6 (AUD $1-2) Didi ride when we had groceries or the little one was too tired to walk. A handy little street only 100 m away from the apartment has a small selection of restaurants (the BBQ spot is fantastic), plus a convenience store, massage shop and chemist. The National Park East Gate is roughly 1 km away, so you can beat the crowds at opening time. Our host was phenomenal. She pre-arranged private cars for both arrival and departure, met us at 11 pm to help with luggage, and was back at 6 am on check-out day! Throughout the week she messaged tips, arranged our 4-day National Park pass and Grand Canyon tickets at a discount, and generally made life easy for Western travellers unfamiliar with the area. Great value, super comfortable, and the kind of personal service that turns a trip into a standout memory. We’d book Xi Valley again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.
