Thirty One is a charming hotel conveniently located within a 20-30 minute walk from the airport, as well as being close to the bus station and cable cars. The host, Steve, was exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout my stay. He not only provided great service but also crafted coffee that resembled true works of art. The room was big and the bed very comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Steve's place; meeting him significantly enhanced my experience in Zhangjiajie.

The host was so nice and helpful, she help us plan the whole trip in the mountains and gave us a detailed map. The homestay is located in the west exit, so that you go agains the stream of the main crowd, and we almost never queued. The view from the homestay was also incredible and the room was great with everything needed. The breakfast was very generous and nice.

Exceptional Hospitality!​​ Our stay at Hua Ting Guesthouse was an unforgettable part of our Zhangjiajiaje experience. The main reason for our visit was to see the "Avatar Mountains," and this guesthouse proved to be the perfect choice. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the South Gate of the National Forest Park. This allowed us to get an early start to beat the crowds to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area (where the "Hallelujah Mountain" pillar is). After a long day of hiking and being amazed by the floating peaks that inspired the world of Pandora, it was such a relief to know a comfortable and welcoming place was so close by. The highest praise, however, goes to the owner, Mrs. Wang. Her service was absolutely outstanding! She is not only incredibly warm and friendly but also highly professional. Upon our arrival, she sat down with us with a detailed map and gave us a brilliant itinerary to optimize our time. She explained exactly which buses to take, the best order to see the sights, and even the perfect timing to catch the sunset. Her advice saved us so much time and confusion. She made us feel like family, always asking about our day and offering us tea. Her hospitality truly made our trip seamless and much more enjoyable. The guesthouse itself is charming, very clean, and has a lovely, peaceful courtyard—a great place to relax in the evening. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained. If you are visiting Zhangjiajie for the Avatar mountains, look no further. You not only get great value and location but also the invaluable, kind guidance from Mrs. Wang. We cannot recommend Hua Ting Guesthouse highly enough! Thank you for making our trip so special!

We had a fantastic stay in Heaven Gate Homestay! The location is absolutely perfect — surrounded by local food stalls, supermarkets, and just a short distance from the stunning Tianmen Mountain. Everything was incredibly convenient. A special thank you to our host, Carol, who was truly amazing. She was warm, responsive, and always ready to help — from recommending delicious local food to helping us place orders and explaining everything we needed to know during our stay. Her hospitality made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie!

YanYuJian art hotel or Sandstone Painting Handicraft Exchange Gallery Hotel bevindt zich in Zhangjiajie, op 22 km van Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis... Personeel erg aardig en behulpzaam! We kregen een eigen transfer naar het treinstation en ontbijt op de kamer vroeg in de ochtend. Erg dankbaar voor alle service!

Xi Valley Apartment bevindt zich op 17 km van Zhangjiajie National Forest Park en biedt accommodaties met airconditioningeen balkon en gratis WiFi. Xi Valley Apartment was an absolute gem for our family of three + Nan! The place is huge – two full bathrooms and loads of living space make it perfect for families or a small group that doesn’t want to feel cramped. We stayed six nights and really appreciated how well-equipped it is: powerful A/C in every room, a big fridge-freezer, washing machine, and a proper set of kitchen utensils, so cooking at “home” when we wanted to was a breeze. The Location hit the sweet spot for us. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood about 2 km from the centre of town: just a relaxed 30-minute walk, or a ¥5–6 (AUD $1-2) Didi ride when we had groceries or the little one was too tired to walk. A handy little street only 100 m away from the apartment has a small selection of restaurants (the BBQ spot is fantastic), plus a convenience store, massage shop and chemist. The National Park East Gate is roughly 1 km away, so you can beat the crowds at opening time. Our host was phenomenal. She pre-arranged private cars for both arrival and departure, met us at 11 pm to help with luggage, and was back at 6 am on check-out day! Throughout the week she messaged tips, arranged our 4-day National Park pass and Grand Canyon tickets at a discount, and generally made life easy for Western travellers unfamiliar with the area. Great value, super comfortable, and the kind of personal service that turns a trip into a standout memory. We’d book Xi Valley again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.
