The view of Aswan Corniche from the wonderful terrace are fabulous day and night. Now on to Mohammed, the proprietor. The nicest, kindest, most genuine man you’ll meet. He looked after us like we were family. We flew into Aswan from Cairo but when we arrived in Cairo our luggage wasn’t. We messaged Mohammed just to let him know what happened and even though at this stage we still hadn’t met he took ownership of the issue and just ran with it. He had a car meet us at the airport which took us straight to a pharmacy to buy toiletries before taking us to the guest house. The following morning after making sure we had some breakfast he guided us to a shopping centre where we could purchase replacement clothing. In addition to all this Mohammed looked after all our bookings for tours and trips. He well and truly saved our holiday. The beds in the room were so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. The island offers a tranquil escape from the sometimes overwhelming atmosphere found in Aswan. The Nubian people are notably peaceful, respectful, and welcoming, creating a delightful atmosphere. The property is outstanding, offering convenient port transfers upon arrival and departure. The hotel boasts breathtaking views. The breakfast is superb, and the staff are exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. Furthermore, the rooms are impeccably clean. We are extremely pleased with our decision to extend our stay here after our Nile cruise. Missing this unique Nubian experience would have been a significant regret.

We had an absolutely amazing time at awis guesthouse! Awi and his family are super nice, hospitable and he is helpful with trips and suggestions. The apartment is very cozy and clean with an awesome view. The house is located directly at the Nile and has a lovely terrace. Infront of the house you have trees and in the gardens there are some sheep’s and few cows living. The neighbors are also very friendly. The guesthouse is close to the ferry. Nearby you find great food and coffee at Nubian dreams and sudanuba. We would have liked to stay so much longer! All the best from Jonathan and Isa
