Sun Breeze Hotel está en El Remate, a 34 km de Parque Nacional Tikal, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. I loved everything about this place and wished I would have stayed for weeks! The room was big, clean, comfortable with an amazing view on the lake, especially at sunset and sunrise, when you can see a lot of birds (among which green parakeets, red-lored parrots, etc.). There were mosquito nets, but I didn’t see a single mosquito throughout my 3-night stay. The AC was quiet and worked perfectly, and the room had great Wi-Fi I used for a work video call. The room comes with a balcony, where you can find a table, chairs and hammock. There is also a kitchen you can use in common spaces. Umberto is an amazing host! He is very kind and helped me throughout my stay, even offering to lend me money when I had trouble withdrawing from the ATM, which I really appreciated in this stressful situation. He arranged my tours to Yaxha and Tikal, and the hotel’s location is very convenient, right where shuttle and colectivos stop and just in front of El Remate’s only ATM. It is a 5 min walk from the laundry shop, and within a 5 min walk from many great cafes and restaurants (Cahui, La Puerto, Casa de Don David, Doña Mari, etc.). I hesitated between staying in El Remate or Flores, but now that I have been to both, I am happy that I got to experience a quieter side of Lake Petén, with better sunset views and amazing restaurants, closer to Tikal and Yaxha archaeological sites. Highly recommended!

La Casa Colorada se encuentra en San Benito y dispone de zona de barbacoa. Este alojamiento, que cuenta con servicio de habitaciones, también cuenta con restaurante y terraza solárium. Super nice hosts, very helpful, great hospitality! Besides the hotel the hosts are working on a project for the benefit of the local community (including a French language school for kids, regular clean up activities, ...) - both have a very inspiring energy!:) The place itself is very nice and comfy, with a great rooftop terrace where a small, but very delicious breakfast is served at an extra cost.

Casa Valencia 1 se encuentra en Santa Elena y ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado, patio y wifi gratis. Este apartamento dispone de jardín y parking privado gratis. El lugar esta muy lindo y limpio y la atención de Don Moises 10/10.

Casa Maya Itza está en Flores y ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado y wifi gratis, además de acceso a la terraza. Lovely, LOVELY property. The room we stayed in was exactly as described - great king bed, clean en-suite bathroom & shower (clean! hot water! soap provided!), fresh drinking water available and free, easy check-in, perfect location (but TBH the island is so small, there really isn’t a bad spot to be). We also booked a last minute tour for Tikal through this hotel and it was perfect and just as advertised (150Q for the transport + guide, and 150Q for the park ticket).
