We had a really beautiful upstairs room which was tastefully furnished and thoughtfully set out. The room had a lovely big window overlooking pretty trees with lots of sunshine and natural light. It also had a well provisioned and good sized kitchen. Our room had an undercover carport beneath it and private stair access. The motel is in a lovely area and within easy walking distance to the magnificent public gardens,

We enjoyed the outdoor bush baths, the BBQ & the warm n cosy cabin. The old school kettle was a highlight. The location and the amenities are worth the money and the trip.

Every detail seemed to have been thoughtfully considered, and I very much appreciated the completeness of what was provided. The added touch of a delicious breakfast was also a highlight, and a testament to Cara's exceptional hospitality. In fact, the quality of my stay was so outstanding that I would compare it to that of a 4 or 5-star hotel. Cara's attention to detail, the comfort of the cottage, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Cara's cottage to anyone seeking a truly exceptional and memorable stay in New Zealand.

It was very high quality and modern. Biggest shower I've ever seen. Nice private outdoor area. Definitely on my top three of places I ever stayed.
