"CASITA AZUL" -habitación y cocina solo para ti ligt in Chivay, op 3 minuten lopen van Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 600 meter van Chivay Arena, en 7 minuten lopen van Bus Station. Big rooms, and kitchen with everything you need- as described. Located close to the Plaza de Armas and main streets of town. We enjoyed a lovely walk to the bridge, ruins and mirradors and took advantage of the fresh local produce to cook our own food. We’re travelling on a budget so this place was perfect. Alely was an incredible host! Super friendly, very responsive on WhatsApp (this is how pretty much everything seems to be done in Peru- even booking activities and buses). Alely stored our bags for the 3 days while we did the Cañon del Colca walk (we stayed here at the start and end of our trip due to catching the 4M bus directly to Cusco so we didn’t have to go back via Arequipa). When we came back our bags were ready and waiting for us. I would have loved to spend an extra night here to acclimatise as it is a lot higher than Arequipa and you will feel it. Overall we had a great time and felt very comfortable and at home.

I was there with my boyfriend while I felt sick of the altitude. She made me tea with herbs to help with the altitude sickness. She was very helpful. After our hiking days in the colca canyon she allowed us to take a shower in an empty room so whe could get take our 16 hour busride feeling fresh. Would recommend this place!
