The service from the owner, Keryn and staff was incredibly amazing and the owner made sure we felt at home. She was very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. I truly recommend this place especially if you are looking for holiday accommodation now in December.

Lolambazo Country House & Cottage - Giants Castle Drakensberg está en Mahlutshini, en la región de KwaZulu-Natal, a 41 km de Drakensberg Reserve. Beautiful and peaceful location just outside Giant's Castle reserve. Billy the host went out of his way to accommodate us with a request we had. The unit well equipped and had everything we needed, including firewood for our braai, which was a nice extra.

The cottage is wonderful, clean, very weel kept and it has everything one needs for a pleasant stay, you can also buy wood for the brai there. The owner is very kind and gives you all the info to get to the place. What is so special is the view from the property though. The Drakemberg in front of you during one of those mesmerizing South African sunsets is something you will never forget. I will be back for sure to suck that magical atmosphere in again

Sasi Africa Luxury Tented Bush Lodge está en Bergville y ofrece vistas a la montaña, piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y bar. The staff! Everyone we met was friendly and eager to make our 2 nights memorable. The room was incredible and is among the nicest I’ve had while in Africa. It’s right up there with the top lodges in game reserves. They had no issue bringing you down to the parking area anytime we wanted to leave and they were always available to pick you up upon returning. The pool and bar area were great to relax around in the afternoons and the quaint living and dining room was comfortable to spend time in during the evenings before dinner.

Everything you need, love the personal touch of detail. The home made cookies and rusk are amazing, sherry for the cold days. The shower had hot water and it was great after a cold day out. The tent is more spacious than expected, with a well equipped kitchen and two sizeable rooms. The unit was immaculately clean, with fresh linens, towels and extra blankets provided. The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience! Located on the lovely Gowan Valley Guest Farm, a gorgeous property where you can enjoy spectacular river views and forest greenery (the short Forest Walk through the property should not be missed!).

We stayed at Protea Cottage, which is well-equipped and comfortable. It's located at the end of the R600, near the entrance to Monk's Cowl area of the Drakensberg. You can access many nice trails directly from the cottage. The view from the porch is glorious, especially at sunset. Cathkin Park is a great location, and we easily filled our 6 days there. We went ziplining, hiking, swimming in the streams, horseback riding at uShaka, and saw the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey show. We unfortunately missed whitewater rafting and the Boys Choir show. Leslie communicated thoroughly ahead of time about check-in and other details so there were no surprises. We also loved that it was off the grid, but with the solar panels, who noticed? The kitchen had all the necessary items, including a camp toaster and a French press for coffee. Lindsey and Brett don't live on site, but they stopped by a couple of times, and they were friendly and helpful. Their caretakers were there daily and kept everything in good order.
