Everything is top notch, family owned hotel with great breakfast, motel room was awesome, beautiful location with river and fjord and a lot to do on a day trips around. Also perfect scenery in the evening to enjoy sunsets over fjord. Free rowing boat to enjoy lake :). You can make sandwiches and fill-in bottle of coffee to got for a small fee during the breakfast - we used this offer and it was very nice and convenient.

Every road trip through Norway is worth making a detour here. Breathtaking views, free boat and kayak rental. The host was incredibly kind and showed us everything we needed to know. Far away from the usual tourist crowds. Everyone fell in love with this small, peaceful place – a hidden gem that leaves a lasting impression. Sadly we stayed only one Night. This was definitely not our last visit.

The house was perfect in every way—cozy, beautifully maintained, and with the most stunning views over the mountains and lake. Waking up to this scenery felt like a dream. The host Jarle was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly hope to return one day. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this amazing part of Norway!”

Trollstova, que tiene vistas a la ciudad, ofrece alojamiento con terraza y balcón a unos 13 km de Kaupanger Stave Church. Very nice house close to the bus station. Some reviews said that there were no blinds and was missing a hair dryer but when I got there, all windows had blinds/curtains and hair dryer was stored in the bathroom. Overall, it was really pleasant to stay here.

We stayed only for 2 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and has an amazing view. It was super clean and had all we needed, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of towels. Beds were very comfortable, which is important to us. Also, you can completely darken the rooms, another big plus. The communication with hosts was perfect. They are very thoughtful and provided a list of attractions, restaurants, and hikes in the area. That was really useful since the area has so much to offer and it helped us choose the activities for our limited time there. We went to Briksdalsbreen glacier. The house is near a ski resort, so it must be a great place to stay in the winter. We highly recommend this house and the hosts.

Very spaceous, well equiped kitchen and big dining area. It has large glass windows overlooking the mountains, good panoramic view. The shower/ bathroom is spaceous and there is sauna. We had a lovely stay. Thank you.
