We very much enjoyed the room & the breakfast (a very hearty breakfast). The spa including the pool, the sauna, and the massage were appreciated after a long 2 weeks of travel, hiking, and playing tourist. The proximity to the Ettal monastery and basilica (both located across the street) were the primary reason for staying at the Hotel Klosterhotel Ludwig der Bayer, so an outstanding hotel made the visit much more enjoyable.

Set in the heart of the picturesque Ettal valley in the Ammergau Alps, this country-style hotel enjoys a peaceful setting and offers views of Ettal Abbey.

I recently stayed at Hotel Blaue Gams, and it was a delightful experience. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the stunning views. Waking up to the breathtaking scenery was an absolute highlight and set a perfect tone for each day. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and well-maintained. The decor was tasteful and complemented the natural beauty surrounding the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Everything was fresh and delicious, making for a great start to the day. I also had a very enjoyable dinner experience at the hotel’s restaurant. The menu offered a wonderful selection of dishes, and the quality of the food was impressive. The spa was another highlight of my stay. It was clean, well-equipped, and provided a perfect space to unwind after a day of exploring. The relaxation area, along with the sauna and other amenities, made it an ideal place to recharge. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Blaue Gams and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful views, comfortable rooms, and great dining experiences.

The duplex studio is great and super quiet. I love the swimming pool area and the sauna area that was super nice and quiet and super well thought.

The 4-star superior hotel has been family-run since 1634 and offers an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, steam baths, a children's playground and a cosy lounge.

This was not just a hotel, but a dream come true. Every detail was perfect. This experience must be repeated and places like this must be supported. Breakfast with endless options. Fantastic bread and butter.

The room was large, comfortable, quiet and with nice furniture and decoration. The bed was really good. The bathroom was big and nice, although we took some time to find the way to lower a curtain which closed the view of the bathroom from the rest of the room. The location was convenient, and the parking place closeby and not too expensive. Breakfast was excellent. The staff, apparently made of a single lady not always on the premises (but we were definitely during the off-season), was extremely nice and friendly. Everything worked OK.

Exceptional hotel with lovely rooms and friendly, welcoming staff. All hotel facilities were great Breakfast and dinner were both amazing and varied. The restaurant and bar were truly great The outside swimming pool with warm water was very picturesque, with breathtaking mountain view And of course the place itself was magnificent
