We had a great time at Didu's Homestay. Unfortunately far too short, but we will definitely be back. We were given a very warm welcome and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We travelled to Ijen on the very first evening. The tour was organised by the host and went smoothly. We had a really great guide who gave us lots of background information during the trip. Ijen really was an experience! I would say that you need to be reasonably fit, especially if you want to climb into the crater to look at the blue fire. We would also definitely recommend sturdy shoes and warm/rainproof clothing! The rooms and communal areas are beautifully and lovingly furnished. All in all, a great trip!

Truly a hidden paradise! The hotel and location are our favourite on a 3-week Indonesia trip so far. If you're looking for peace and quiet in a lovely green atmosphere, do come here. Special mention to the infinity pool with view on the rice terraces. Lush area for a walk around too. Staff is amazingly friendly and the food is delicious. The resort is located in a mountainous area, making it slightly cooler than most places in Indonesia. When we were there, it was raining in the afternoons too. No problem at all for us, but if you go, be aware there might be rain.

An absolutely brilliant place to stay. The hotel is a boutique property, on a quiet side street, surrounded by small farming plots. You have a view over the ocean, with Bali in the distance, and mountains behind. An idyllic, and beautiful spot. The rooms are large and well appointed, the staff are so friendly and helpful. They can also assist with local tours, which makes arranging things very easy. And the restaurant is fantastic: breakfast and dinner both excellent, with lots of local dishes to try. One of the nicest places I've stayed, thanks to everyone for a memorable visit! 10/10, hope to be back.
