A true luxury spa best utilized by those interested in more than a whirlpool and sauna though those were quite nice. This spa offers all the latest in treatments and exceptional quality food all provided by professional and courteous staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains and the villa gardens. Situated a short 30 min walk to Merano’s city center we enjoyed our walks into the city and the surrounding hillside. If I had to be critical I’d say the pool temp could have been 1 degree (C) warmer, the steam sauna could have been steamier and maybe add a cold room to the spa. Two nights was too short.

Castel Fragsburg enjoys panoramic mountain views from its verandas and decks. Immersed in the nature on the sunny mountainside, it offers a wellness center and gourmet cuisine.

Simply put, this property is a paradise in the mountains, surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards, and amazing views. The grounds are well manicured with lush gardens, the rooms are luxurious and incredibly well-appointed, the restaurants are impeccable, and the staff caters to your every whim. I am counting the days until I can go back and enjoy more time there.

With panoramic mountain views, Ansitz Plantiz is 15 minutes' walk from Merano center. It offers gourmet cuisine, excellent wellness facilities and a rooftop terrace with hot tub.

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. From the arrival until the end, everything was perfect, every wish fulfilled. The staff was very nice, we even got a softer materess or a breakfast to go when we asked for it! Morning yoga and evening meditations are included! The outside pool was just stunning, the whole area so relaxing. From the spa, we liked the infrarot sauna the best. In the mornings, we were presented a huge breakfast buffet and very tasty coffee. I would love to come back!

The host was incredibly helpful and warm, I would come back just for her. The breakfast was delicious and varied (the staff there also very helpful and polite). The jacuzzi was a well-deserved relaxation opportunity. Good location if you want to visit both the city and the gardens, as the hotel is within walking distance of both.
