If you're planning a surf trip to Sri Lanka, Plantation is the perfect place to stay. Located just a stone's throw away from some of the best waves in the area, this hotel is also conveniently close to a variety of restaurants in Midigama that are worth checking out during your visit. What really made our stay special, though, was Chapu and his family. They welcomed us with open arms and went above and beyond to ensure that we felt right at home. Whether we needed advice on where to go or help with anything else, they were always there with a genuine smile and positive energy. The hotel itself is also top-notch, with all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. And if there's anything else you need, just ask Chapu and his family – they'll make sure you're taken care of. One highlight of our stay was definitely the food. From refreshing juices and lassis to traditional Sri Lankan breakfast dishes, everything was delicious and reasonably priced. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to stay at Plantation again if we return to Sri Lanka. Thank you, Chapu and family, for a wonderful experience!

Very nice house with a stunning garden. Everything is brand new and the host is very polite. All amenities were explained to us and a scooter was available, which we then rented. Nothing is left to be desired here!!! For breakfast there was a delicious fruit salad with yoghurt and coffee at our request. We particularly liked the fact that we had a garden where we could spend our time without noise and spectators and it really is a maximum of 4 minutes walk to the surf spot!!! An absolute insider tip... the best experience on our entire Sri Lanka tour.

One of the best stays I ever had! Very friendly and polite staff. They were really making their best effort to serve and make us feel welcome. None of the staff were pushy with offering some other services (like in other places), which I appreciated a lot. The plants around really made me feel connected to nature. Also great for the whole day around the pool relaxing and enjoying delicious foods and drinks. The food was really amazing!

Beautiful views of the lake. Even able to take a boat ride if you wished too. Rooms were spacious and had its own pool. Very comfortable and luxurious. The staff went above and beyond for me. They surprised with an amazing birthday cake following my amazing Sri Lankan dinner which I was not expecting. This was due to me mentioning i was there as a birthday gift to myself. I felt so comfortable travelling there solo as a woman. Highly recommend this hotel. Loved the little library and peacocks on site. Even saw a crocodile pass in the lake.

Fantastic resort in the middle of the lush jungle but also close to some of the beautiful beaches of Galle. The resort and room were impeccably presented and complimented by a lovely team who were always happy to help. The resort is gorgeous, the garden is beautiful, nicely maintained, with many pools (all with warm water) and also the beach is very nice (no big waves so you can enjoy swimming). Steambath was great in the shower. The staff was very kind and professional, we got a free upgrade upon arrival to the best room of the resort with a great view and a private pool. There was unlimited water supply in the room. Breakfast was amazing, so many choices and very delicious. There is a beautiful view on the ocean from the restaurant and bar.
