everything was just awsesome, beautiful bungalow with green garden, internet worked perfectly, the meals prepared by the owners were just the best we tried in Sri-Lanka. huge boxes is the sweetest dog Shene (not sure for the name) ever. definitely recommended!

We stayed here for one night on our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing! The host couple were so friendly and helpful and we were offered a welcome drink when we arrived. Then we went on a 4-hour safari that the host couple had arranged for us. We got our own jeep and the driver/guide was incredibly knowledgeable and showed us the wild elephants in a spectacular way. In the evening we were treated to a delicious homemade dinner buffet with both starter and dessert. In the morning we were treated to an incredibly good homemade Sri Lankan Breakfast. They also helped us with taxis both to and from the hotel to a very good price. We think that everyone who wants to go on Safari in Udawalawe should come and stay here!

Tiron (the host) welcomed me by Name and with juice and cake. He arranged a safari to the national park in no time and very professionally. Room with balcony is very nice and even had a kettle. Tiron’s wife cooked delicious dinner with multiple curries to choose from. After I came back from the morning safari I was awaited with a breakfast which was over the top. Egghoppers, coconut roti filled with honey, toast, fruits etc. all for one person. What a pity I could not finish it. Tiron and the entire family are wonderful hosts and if I could I would give 15 stars for this stay.

Cottage located in the peacful area surronded by nature, we were hosted by a very friendly family. Pasindu and his wife made sure that we are comfortable and are not lacking anything. We also enjoyed tasty home made food for dinners and breakfast in large amounts, there was always more than we could eat ;) The cottage itself was also comfortable, not lacking anything, there was even a hair dryer. It was also possible to get a breakfast as a take away for early Safari, which was important to us. The family was also helpful with advice about area. Out of all our stays in Sri Lanka so far this was definitely most special.

My stay at Waraka Udawalawa was truly wonderful. Located near Udawalawe National Park, it's perfect for safari lovers. The food was delicious, with a mix of local and international dishes that everyone enjoyed. Highlight for me was the "Waraka Infused" food and drinks, which offered a unique and exciting taste experience.The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The unique concept of blending modern amenities with a natural, rustic charm made the experience truly memorable. The safari excursions organized by the hotel were well-coordinated, providing an up-close encounter with the stunning wildlife. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend!

Wow… we loved the stay in city elephant family resort. We stayed one night with our 2 kids and we felt like we spent the night in our own house. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very spacious, clean, cosy and Beautifully arranged for us to have a good night sleep. Highly recommend this beautiful family resort to others who would like to spend nights during your holidays with your family. The staff was really friendly and treated us so well. We will definitely be back next year for our next holiday in Sri Lanka.

Very nice and friendly host. We were met with tea and bananas - it's so important after a long way. This place in Udalawawe has fair price because when we were trying to book a room in other places for the prices we saw on the site, later it came obvious that the prices are actual only if you also book safari in this or that exact place. In Olivi palace you see the real price, if you don't need safari, it's okay. It was perfectly clean. The design of the room is sweat and nice. The place is very close to Elephant transit home.

The best stay during our trip in Sri Lanka so far. Hashan and his family amazed us with their hospitality, they are extremely kind people, help us with everything we needed. We did the safari and we were extremely lucky to have Hashan as our guide we were everywhere first or among the first and had the best spots, saw lots of elephants families right next to our jeep. The food was delicious accommodation great as well. We recommend everywhere 😊🙏.
