We spent two nights with Sy and his family and it was lovely. They were very very kind with us. The room was very confortable and big and the location of the hostel is great, looks farther than what it is. Renting the bicycles from Sy was perfect, that way we could explore around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We also tried the full body massage they offer and wow it was worthy!

I really had a great experience here. The owner is very enthusiastic, caring and professional. Because he is a local, what he shared was very useful for the trip. The room was very clean, quiet, what I was most satisfied with was that it had a private swimming pool. The breakfast was prepared extremely quickly. I contacted the reception about the tours and it was great. The car picked me up at homestay.

I was most happy with my stay at Phong Nha Farmstay. The National Park offers a lot of attractions and it was a bit overwhelming to make a good plan for a visit. The Phong Nha Farmstay has suggestions for 1, 2 or 3-day stays and takes care individually about everyone. I followed a 2-day plan and it was amazing, especially the Easy Rider loop around the park (on a backseat of a motorbike). The place itself is a lovely farm in colonial style with beautiful views and nature sounds. The staff is very friendly and kind - you feel like around good, relaxed family. The stay gave me unforgettable memories and I can honestly recommend it to everyone!

The staff were wonderful. In particular one lady, sorry we didn't get her name but she spoke both French and English and was very helpful our whole stay. We can't wait to come back. Lots of activities from kayaking, swimming and biking.

We were there during Tet, and had the place to ourselves until the last day, when many Vietnamese families arrived to celebrate Tet together. The staff were amazing, ensuring we had everything we needed, and one staff member even gave us a special Bánh Tét (glutinous rice cake with pork belly and mung beans filling, cooked in banana leaf for 24 hours) that his wife had made. The food was lovely, and during our 4-day stay, we were able to sample many of the dishes available. We were in one of the farm cabins, which was roomy, with the most comfortable bed. I had the best nights’ sleeps I had experienced for a long time. The most wonderful thing was the smiles we received every time we came in contact with any of the staff. With many hugs as we checked out, we really did feel as though we arrived as guests and left as family.

Very kind staff, clean rooms, beautiful garden. We arrived very early (4am) and they gave us a free room to rest in until we could check in to our booked room, which was beyond our expectations. For our departure they got up early to drive to the train station in Dong Hoi (paid ride). They were very attentive and gracious hosts.
