This family-run 4-star hotel is located in the centre of Bad Reichenhall. AVALON Hotel Bad Reichenhall offers a bar, air-conditioned rooms and free high-speed WiFi. This was my second stay at this hotel. The first stay was in October 2024. As usual, the staff was stellar. Every request and inquiry was acted upon with a cheerful smile and prompt efficiency. They delivered 100% especially when I needed it the most. The hotel is situated across the street from the Bad Reichenhall Bahnhof (train station). No worries since the hotel has excellent soundproofing. The public areas along with the room itself were immaculate. The bathroom had all the expected amenities including hair dryer, soaps and a towel warmer. The A/C runs well and can be adjusted. There is an Aldi supermarket and a store specializing in health products and cosmetics nearby. An Italian pizza restaurant is across the street (order the spinach and salmon pizza), and a Bavarian restaurant is a few blocks away. The Avalon is a family-owned and run business so you get that special attention you can’t get at a chain hotel. I highly recommend this property.

Set within Berchtesgaden National Park, at the foot of Watzmann Mountain, Berghotel Rehlegg offers traditional Bavarian accommodation. Everything is awesome. Good facility and restaurant, decent breakfast and dinner a la carte selections, super friendly staff, great location for hiking from Ramsau to Hintersee. Strongly recommended.

Peacefully located in Bayerisch Gmain, these apartments offer free parking and a balcony. Ferienwohnung Christiane lies within 1.7 km of Bad Reichenhall and the Austrian border. We like this nicely decorated, cozy and very quiet apartment on the second floor of the reception building.

Enjoying panoramic views of the Weißbachschlucht Gorge, this traditional Bavarian hotel in Weißbach offers award-winning food, 2 sun terraces, and a spa area with free Finnish sauna and hay sauna. The view of the trees and mountain from our room and balcony was stunning! Daniella was super helpful! Delicious food for lunch and dinner and great walks in the countryside.

Just 3 km from the Königsee Lake and the Berchtesgaden National Park, these apartments feature a fully-equipped kitchen, and free WiFi. Wonderful host, beautiful, spotlessly clean property. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. The sauna was brilliant after a long day of hiking. Can’t wait to return.
