The location is pretty much out of the way - and, frankly, the town of Cangas de Narcea is not especially interesting. However, the Parador is lovely - we liked everything about it - it's what you would expect from a Parador. So, if you want to chill out in beautiful surroundings ( the countryside is spectacular) this is the place to visit and stay in.

Everything!!! The hotel, the room, the staff, the restaurant, the spa, everything was exceptional. Firstly the rooms. Beautifully appointed, fantastic shower and toileteries, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Next the staff. Everyone we interacted with were so helpful, passionate and with great personalities. Nothing could have made us feel more at home, even with some language barriers. Special mention goes out to Cova in the restaurant who was exceptional in explaining everything and making us so relaxed. She was also fluent in English and French (and Spanish of course). Also Ruth on the front desk was so welcoming and helped us with restaurant suggestions. The restaurant - absolutely amazing food, beautifully crafted with merging traditional Asturian favourites with special twists. Great desserts! The breakfasts were amazing, top quality fruit, yoghurt, breads, pastries, meats and cheese and wonderful cooked options. Had a massage in the spa, excellent and the outside pool was so clean. Not heated but I quite prefer colder water anyway. Will definately return. This place is first class

Access to the Balenario Real Spa was easy and we loved our hours spent in the various oils, saunas etc. The food was good and breakfast room beautiful witness good options.

Such a beautiful and peaceful location, the perfect place to have a break and reset. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. You can tell a huge amount of care goes into making sure you have an enjoyable stay. The surrounding area is also very nice, Carlos the owner recommended a cycle ride and lunch spot which was a lot of fun. We will definitely be coming back!
