Welcome to the Ferme de Maraval! It's located 3 kilometres south of Cénac and Saint-Julien, in the heart of the Périgord Noir region, renowned for its gastronomy. On the banks of the Dordogne, this region of high tourist reputation combines the beauty of its landscapes with its history and archaeology. Nearby Domme, La Roque-Gageac, I was made to feel very welcome on arrival. My room and bathroom was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. I ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. There is a lovely shared salon which I would have used to work or just relax had I had the time. I would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Breakfast is available, and includes buffet, à la carte and continental options. All was good. The room very clean. The staff very nice. They gave us a tour around the castle to tell about the history of it and was very interesting.

The location is in the heart of the vineyards, the outdoor swimming pool was great after a full day on the bike in nearly 100 degrees. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was a delight with an assortment of home made jams and cookies. The whole experience was simply wonderful.

This family hotel composed set in several houses is situated in the village of Thonac, in the heart of the Dordogne region.It has a swimming pool, a private pond and a restaurant.

The Archambeau’s restaurant serves regional specialities and features an outdoor terrace. Guests can relax on the sun terrace by the pool, or enjoy a drink in the bar. Great place, family run, which attracts locals into the bar as well as we tourists. We were visiting Lascaux but also found other places to visit (Chateau de Losse) nearby to visit. Lovely countryside to drive through. This was a great base, quieter than nearby Montignac.
