The hotel is extremely well run, only 10min walk from Borobudur temple complex. the food was high end, delicious and abundant. Vegetarian and vegan options exist and the staff is well trained in navigating this.

Lovely to sit on the veranda and read. There is an homely atmosphere everywhere. Staff are very helpful. Food was excellent for me. I like Indonesian / Javanese food so was quite happy to have what was on the menu. They even went out of the way to prepare a local dish specially for me called "nasi liwet".

The grounds are beautifully maintained and the filled with artful sculptures and historic touches. Around every corner of this vast resort there is something to delight in. The room was huge and felt like a romantic step back in time. The dark wood interior was filled with elegant touches, antiques, draped king bed, massive desk and several comfortable seating areas. There was a lovely balcony that wrapped around the room and overlooked a spectacular jungle. There was also both a private pergola and pool which made us feel like royalty.
