A wonderfully authentic traditional ryokan with spacious, comfortable rooms and beautiful river views. The public onsen was perfect—hot, clean, and peaceful with great natural scenery. Dinner was a delightful kaiseki experience with impressive presentation and thoughtful local dishes. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, making the stay truly special. The setting with a charming rope suspension bridge adds to the unique atmosphere. A perfect getaway for onsen lovers seeking relaxation with excellent hospitality. Highly recommended. Wonderful place to relax, fantastic gourmet dining. The atmosphere in the hotel is conducive to complete relaxation. The attitude of the staff towards the guests is excellent. The room was incredibly functional and comfortable. I highly recommend!

Absolutely love how child-friendly the hotel is. My children (3&1) loved the baby room with the toy kitchen, and the floor we were on had a small play space by the elevator, the wonderful play area inside and outside is fantastic and the buffet included children’s food & baby food. Just spectacular! My eldest experienced onsen for the first time and it was so spacious and easy for him to get around, he loved it! Me and hubby also loved the lounge evening drinks & snacks (which included sweets for the children - amazing) Thank you to the staff who spoke English for my check in!

Strategically located and walking distance to Toshogu Shrines, temples and restaurants. Bus stop is 2 mins walk from Hotel. Hotel employees are friendly and i feel very welcome and comfortable staying here. Onsen is huge with a large indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools and plenty of wash areas equipped with good quality body wash, hair conditioners, shampoo, hair tonics, face wash, toner and moisturizer. Hiraga-san, the front desk manager is so friendly and provided guidance on areas of attractions we should visit. Also you can get Toshogu main shrine ticket from Hotel but only accept cash.

El Kanaya Hotel está situado a 5 minutos a pie del lago Chuzenji y ofrece salón con chimenea y vistas al bosque, baño de aguas termales cubierto y espacio de arte. La habitación muy espaciosa, el onsen es bastante relajante sobretodo en la noche después de recorrer el área de nikko. El estilo del hotel está muy bien conservado y cuidado.
