Hotel location is in a great place, surrounded by forests and provides fantastic sea view from our villa ( I was upgraded to a sea view villa - so much surprising even though I am a long-time and loyal Mariott/Ritz fan - thank you so much Brena ! Everything in this hotel was amazing - a territory is green and clean, breakfast is invariably rich and tasty, beach is not the best in Asia but good, villa was clean. Service is exceptional, attention to the details and treating the hotel guests as if they are a long time friends - it was so heartwarming and special. During our stay on villa, we were unexpectedly visited by a group of dusky leaf monkeys - shy, cute and delicate creatures - we were so happy to be able to watch them so close… Overall, we felt so close to the nature and frankly, Malaysia is certainly became one of my favorite… We loved our stay and we certainly will come back. Thank you Brena and team - you are truly special :)

Rooms spacious and lush. Pool access from room wow! Staff were amazing, very attentive and overall great value for money. Airport/ferry pick up a bonus. Thank you for an amazing stay. Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. I had such a relaxing stay at this cozy resort. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome—attentive, friendly, and always ready with a smile. The resort itself is tucked away in a peaceful corner, offering the kind of quiet that lets you truly unwind. My room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Waking up to the breakfast view was a highlight—panoramic, calming, and the perfect way to start the day. Everything about the experience was smooth and soothing. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. This place is a gem.
