He went above and beyond to make our daughter a nice bowl of chicken soup noodle when he realised that her bowl of tom yum soup noodle was perhaps too spicy for a 6-year-old’s liking. We enjoyed the large pool, gym and the kids play area!

Could rent a motorbike from him which was convenient! Room was big and clean and bed was very comfortable. 10 minute walk from beach and very close to a lovely coffee place. The breakfast offers buffet, à la carte or continental options. Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perhaps the most ideal, relaxing stay we have ever experienced. My husband actually sat still for several days, poolside, and read a book (!!!), dipped in the pool occasionally, slept in the shade, meditated on the ocean scene spread out before him (jet skis far enough in the distance to be interesting but not noisy, parasails colorfully dotting the warm blue skies against puffy white clouds). Breakfast was declicious with western and suburb local offerings—-and plenty of everything. Bar service was exceptional throughout the day. We dined on site one night and the menu, food, and service on the beach was, again, exceptional. The entire staff was all smiles and eager to please—-we felt so very welcome. And—drum roll: the turndown service each evening was charming! We would go out to dinner (the hotel is steps away from the throng of downtown Cenang with all it’s shopping and dining options) though the facility itself feels miles removed) and when we’d return to our room, the lights were dimmed, soft jazz was playing on the internet radio, the sheets were exquisitely “turned” with clever little tokens of paper messages about the weather forecast for the next day, suggestions of what to do, etc. It was like getting a fortune cookie on your bed (without the calories!). Speaking of calories, as part of the turndown service, they also provided large ceramic mugs with fixings for either tea or hot chocolate. And they always had a jar of peanuts and coconut cookies to nibble on throughout the day. And we strongly encourage folks to reserve a “high tea” at least one afternoon. Their tiered trays of savory and patisserie dainties was just as delightful as everything else. We originally considered staying at the hotel further north—-the one with the rooms out over the water. But we opted to be within walking distance of town/activity and we are so very, very glad with out choice. Casa Del Mar is an exceptional hotel and great value!

Guests can enjoy meals at the in-house restaurant or have a drink at the bar. Very friendly staff. We are vegetarian and require special dietary needs. We did have a Chef at Lankavi Kitchen who was always obliged. Chef Shaun at Horizon restaurant was amazing; we tasted some great vegetarian food, which he happily prepared for us. The housekeeping staff, Ashok and Ramesh, were terrific and took good care of us. I do not remember many names which I wanted to put there, but overall amazing experience.

My room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Waking up to the breakfast view was a highlight—panoramic, calming, and the perfect way to start the day. Everything about the experience was smooth and soothing. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. This place is a gem.
