The property is in a beautiful location, isolated but not too hard to get to from the main road. Beautiful sea views in a tranquil area. I loved my stay here. There are trails to walk on the forest near the property and curious monkeys would show up in the morning to look at our chalet. Food in the restaurant was really good and I’ve also used the spa, which was amazing after a long flight. Staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Wish I had time to stay longer and hope to come back one day. Book without thinking twice.

Old Post Office Lodge in Wilderness biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de stad, een terras, een restaurant en een bar. Er is gratis WiFi. Large rooms with balconies, just above a nice restaurant. Many other eating choices close by. Not too far from the fantastic beach if you want to go for a swim. Good parking opportunity for our motorcycles.

Het Gondwana-wildreservaat is de thuisbasis van de 'big five-diersoorten', die daar dan ook vrij rondlopen door het fynbosgebied in de Kaapregio. Het reservaat ligt op 25 km afstand van Mosselbaai. We loved the game drives - simply breathtaking. Staff is amazing - knowledgeable, friendly and very customer focused. Facilities are very good for a safari venue.

Het Trogon House biedt boomtop accommodatie in het Tsitsikamma Forest, op 15 minuten rijden van de stranden van Plattenberg Bay. We had dinner and a massage. One of the best we had ! Make some time to get their full spa/message package. This place is so beautiful.

Botlierskop Private Game ligt aan Mosselbaai tussen de Outeniquabergen en de stranden van de Indische Oceaan, en biedt elegante accommodaties. What a wonderful stay — but far too short. During our trip along the Garden Route, we absolutely wanted to do a game drive, so we booked one night here. But take our advice: one night here is simply not enough. To fully experience this place, you actually need at least two, maybe even three nights. Anyway, for anyone looking for a true safari experience in the western part of South Africa, there’s only one thing to say: Botlierskop is absolutely the right choice. Of course, it’s not Kruger — but hey, you know that in advance, and this reserve is clearly very well managed, and sustainably too. As for the accommodation: absolutely fantastic. Extremely spacious tented lodges with every imaginable comfort — and what views! We stayed in one of the lower lodges overlooking a pond where rhinos and buffaloes came to drink, just a few meters below us — truly breathtaking. The 3.5-hour game drive at sunset was educational and perfectly guided by Mel. The fact that we didn’t see lions didn’t matter at all — the rhinos, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, wildebeests, giraffes and zebras more than made up for it. Finally, the staff were friendly and discreet — what more could you ask for? We’ll definitely be back, next time with our children. Thank you!
